West Gate Estates is located in Marathon City, WI 6 miles West of Wausau on State Hwy 29.  This community is very quiet and clean. We like to think it is the very best in the Wausau Area.  We offer a managed community, a resident recreation area, which has plenty of room for horseshoe and has a swing set for the kids and a basketball hoop.  You will be in a country setting but only minutes away from Wausau and Rib Mountain Shopping.

The Central Wisconsin Airport is only a 15-minute drive away.  Wausau is not a large city but it is growing; yet still has that small-town atmosphere. Downtown Wausau has a great shopping mall, the Wausau Center Mall. If you want some of the bigger department stores like Kohls, Old Navy, Pet Mart, Walmart, and much more, you are only 10 minutes away from Rib Mountain where you can shop till you drop! If you like the outdoors you’ll love the 9-mile Marathon County Recreation Area where you can cross country ski, hike, mountain bike etc. If you are a downhill ski buff, Granite Peaks Ski Area has a lot to offer. Rib Mountain State Park is also a great place to hike or just take your family for an afternoon picnic.
