North Country Estates is located 2 miles North of Tomahawk, WI on Hwy A. In Central Wisconsin, we like to say any place north of Hwy 64 is above the stress line and Tomahawk, WI is a good 20 miles north!  If you like the northwoods and country living, we think you’ll like it here. It is quiet and managed by Dale, who has years of experience in managing property.  We have a resident recreation area, which has plenty of room for horseshoe and has a swing set for the kids.

Tomahawk, WI has that small hometown feel with mostly locally-owned businesses.  You are 40 minutes away from Wausau and Rib Mountain Shopping and the Central Wisconsin Airport. Wausau is not a large city but it is growing; yet still has that small-town atmosphere. Downtown Wausau has a great shopping mall, the Wausau Center Mall. If you want some of the bigger department stores like Kohls, Old Navy, Pet Mart, Gordmans, Bed Bath and Beyond, Walmart, and much more, you are only 10 minutes away from Rib Mountain where you can shop till you drop!

If you like the outdoors, you’ll find plenty of places to cross country ski, hike, mountain bike, fish etc.  If you are a downhill ski buff, Granite Peaks Ski Area has a lot to offer. Rib Mountain State Park is also a great place to hike or just take your family for an afternoon picnic. You can also head north to the Minocqua area, where you can enjoy one of the best northwoods treasures!
